If only it was truly that simple

Source: Le Love

Wish there weren't so many other questions in between because those are the hard ones and lack such straightforward answers. Ah... life and love, it's an addiction.

Not only in Kdramas

OMG, i can't even describe how amazing the chemistry is between these 2. They seem so perfect together. I'm so envious of their relationship and can only hope that one day i would manage to find someone that's perfectly imperfect but perfect for me. Sigh, hopes and dreams. Watch them and ponder if you're with the right person right now.

Changing it up

Thought i should change up my hair a little today. So, i took a pair of scissors and cut a good 3-4 inches off my fringe. So, now i have bangs, again. Not much of a change. I wished i look as good as in the picture but i can only get it to look full when i tilt my head that way. Oh well, it's hair, it'll grow :)

My definition of being productive

My very first go at nail art. Too bad all i can afford now are not OPI's and Essie's. But i reckon my owl turn out pretty ok considering that i had to scour my house for things to replace an actual dotting tool. I think it's gonna be ruin tomorrow as my top coat, isn't 100% dry and hard even after 2 hours. Sigh.

Wished i had the Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat. Bet that would save my efforts of having pretty nails for a longer time. Ah wells, at least i didn't sit around and do nothing on a Friday night. Although i do wish i was out. Alright, enough of self pity. I'm pretty proud of what i've achieved on the first go (although i did need my sister's help for the hearts on the right hand)

Gonna get ready for bed now. Good night :)

I'm back

It's been so long since i last blog. Not that I've been super preoccupied or anything. I just lost the mojo to blog but I'm back 'cos i think i need to be more productive and because I think I'm going to need to keep myself occupied with blogging soon. It's just something I sense, not quite sure how accurate my senses are.

I've been wanting to do so many things lately like go to the gym, cook more, do my nails myself and make them pretty and make new stuff for my little doggie (I've got a dog now. Well, i think legally, it's my bf's dog.) Most of those require me to have money and unfortunately i have very little of those. I have a job but I've been spending money i don't have impulsively, so i'm determined to pay the debt. So, until then, I can't go to the gym because I can't afford a 3 month gym membership let alone an 12 month one (since gyms require you the make the full payment up front)

Ok, said way too much. Just wanted to say I'm back! Toodles.

Last two weeks

I went MIA again. Teehee. Anyway, this is gonna be a photo log. I don't wanna say too much. So, i'll say them in pictures.

dinner at Oh Sushi! @ Straits Quay with the bf

RM32: The crab was so juicy. But minus the crab, i prefer the one from Sushi Zanmai

Scallop carpaccio

 Wagyu beef on hot stones

Ikura chawanmushi and deep fried shrimps

The conclusion: This place is pricey but i don't find the food to be fantastic

Desserts time at delicious @ Straits Quay. Banofee pie was disappointing

My current favourite. I'm either in flip flops or these babies when i'm out.

Those shoes are high but so comfy. Spent 8 hours in them with no pain at all. The first time i wore them, i went dancing for 3 whole hours at Zouk, KL. Legs were sore after that because i haven't danced i such a long time but my feet were absolutely fine - no blisters at all. The best thing is, they actually fit my tiny feet! I'm so getting another pair from Agape Boutique. I'm thinking either Black Suede or Brown.

Next, Lingg's 21st birthday dinner at The View @ Equatorial Hotel. There are no pictures during the dinner only after because we were too busy shoving our mouths with fresh oysters, cured salmon and desserts.
Kijade, me & Mad

my girls. blur picture. yee en, phail! LOL

There are more events but i don't snap pictures all the time. So that's all for now. Toodles :)

DSLU made it into the local papers

Well they actually made in into the papers awhile ago but i don't have a big enough scanner to scan it with nor did i have my camera with me at that time. So, after all the procrastination, i finally decided i was going to post it up today. And then, picasa web albums server was down. Pfft...

Boys and girl, you're in the second picture from the top on left page. Click to enlarge. xoxo

Pretty cake

So pretty :) So tempted to attempt it but i can't due to my chubby-ness. Maybe i'll make it and feed it to someone else. Teehee

Lunch & grocery shopping with Potato

Potato's back from Aussieland. Now, i'm just waiting for the rest of the girls to do the same. BF's in KL. I'm suffering severe boredom now. Everyday i wake up, i reply emails for my blogshop because people have a tendency to reply/send in emails before i'm awake. After that, i try to figure out how do i get more business. I wish i had more business. The online blogshop world in Malaysia is so competitive right now.

Anyway, Potato invited me for lunch, well, he texted me at 9am. I was obviously still in dreamland. Then, gave me a call at 11am.

Potato: What?!?!You're still sleeping?!?!
Me: Hmmm (trying to find my voice)
Potato: Wanna go for lunch later?
Me: Uh, ok. Where?
Potato: E-Gate? Maybe Tesco
Me: What's there to eat at Tesco?
Potato: I don't know. We can do grocery shopping. I need to do grocery shopping
Me: Uhhhhh. Okay

Then, i convinced him to come pick me up because i really do not enjoy driving plus i had a feeling my brother was going to use my car (which turned out to be spot on) *evil grins*

So, we ended up having lunch at the Tesco food court. Potato wanted to get rid of the bushy mess on his head, so we headed to KwikCutz for his RM13 haircut.

Smile, Potato

Next, back up to Tesco for some grocery shopping. Somebody bersemangat wanna cook man (not me - trying to lose my chubby-ness now). People, Tesco does not have everything. Firstly, they do not sell beef straganoff sauce in a bottle. Secondly, they do not have breadcrumbs either. Also, they're poultry is not fresh. The colour of it says it all, it has this tinged of green. Ugh *gags*

Poultry aisle. Looks, turns around, walks away

We spent at least a good half hour looking for breadcrumbs and trying to remember how to say that in Malay so that we can ask someone. After that, we just gave up and went back home.

Plenitude Penang International Dragon Boat Festival

I miss this event last year because i was studying in Aussie. But this year, i'm so glad to be back here as a liaison officer for one international teams. 2 years ago, i drew the team from Boston, Double Bacon Cheese Burger, funky name eh? This year, Philippines from De La Salle University, Manilla.

I was given a small team this year because Gina (who got Macao) and I had to cover two jobs over the 2 race days (being a liaison and time keepers). So, we were given high school kids as assistants. Probably not too good of an idea as those kids obviously did not enjoy their jobs as liaisons and therefore, did not do well.

I personally loved my team this year more than the last one i got due to the fact that they were uni students, so we clicked. DBCB consisted of adults, Gen X, not much of a conversation.

The down side of this years event was that we were place in Tanjung Bungah Hotel. Everything is small (rooms, bathrooms, restaurants, lobby) and it's far from any source of entertainment, shopping and the race site. Downer! Hopefully next year, they'll go back to Holiday Inn because it's tonnes better there, especially their breakfast. I shall not ramble too much. Below are the pictures i snapped during the training day and first race day.

I've done dragon boat events for 3 years now. This is the closest i have been to the boats. My next mission is to actually ride one. I don't think i have the strength to row one.

Patrick, Peter and Gisele from DLSU. I absolutely L-O-V-E their uniform including their jackets. Best uniforms i've personally seen in 3 years.

Gina and I at the judges deck. That place is like an oven when there's no breeze.

Sunblock, super important. Still got pretty tanned even when i re-applied every 3 hours or so.

Saturday morning, barely any clouds in the sky. Bummer. Sign of a super hot day.

Photography enthusiasts that brave the scorching afternoon sun just to snap photos of the teams in action. Crazeee

I had to time the 3rd and 4th place boats. Nice numbers.

DLSU took home the gold for the Junior Under-23 250m Small Boat category. See those jackets? They're so pretty. Varsity chic-ness.

Nomnomnom...Dinner time! Food provided by the hotel wasn't good. This RM10 banana leaf rice was tonnes better than the overpriced stuff the hotel provided to the race officials.
I'd love to get this team again next year if they do come back for a second round :) And next time, no more double jobs. I'll just stick to being the liaison :)
